It’s always a great moment to hear Mauricio Pochettino’s opinion on matters such as Paul Pogba’s situation at Man United right now.
Paul Pogba has been going through hell at Man United for months now, Mauricio Pochettino has a lot to say about this topic. The Argentine manager is currently at the top of the list of managers who can take over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s position.
From a distance, the Argentine coach can only give his opinion on what Paul Pogba is going through but nothing more than that. Mauricio already thinks the whole situation is tricky for various reasons, but it’s always a good time to go down memory lane. We always want to hear what a manager can say about a player he is about to coach.
Much like the rest of us, Pochettino still thinks Pogba is arguably one of the best midfielders in the world. However, his contractual situation and injuries have kept him away from that level of performance. Ever since Pochettino was still Tottenham Hotspur’s coach, he had a very clear opinion on Pogba’s situation.
Pochettino also struggles to find a solution.
As per The Mirror, Pochettino spoke about the situation Paul Pogba has experienced since 2019: “There is not one solution. Nobody is going to teach you, it’s not in a book,” he said in September 2019. “It’s like in a game. Every single action needs a reaction [using] your intuition, experience.
“When something wrong happens in the dynamic of the group it’s always about your experience, how you are going to manage. But there’s no clear way to behave. I think everything is different and you are going to react depending on your emotional state, whether you are in a good or a bad mood.”
Regardless of what Pochettino thinks, there’s a good chance Paul Pogba will find himself in a position where he can be coached by Mauricio. Watching him manage himself with a new gaffer should be more than interesting.
