West Ham boss David Moyes has warned Ole Solskjaer he could face the sack if he fails to improve results very soon.
Moyes knows all about being axed from the Old Trafford dugout after failing to see out his solitary season in charge of the Red Devils after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson.
Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have since been and gone as United continue to search for a route back to being England’s darling side.
Solskjaer is the latest man tasked with restoring the glory days at the Theatre of Dreams.
But the baby-faced Assassin sees his job hanging by a thread after a woeful start to the season.
United have picked up just seven points from their opening six Premier League games.
It is their worst start to a season since the David Moyes era and their worst start at Old Trafford in almost half a century.
Reports have started to claim Solskjaer could face the same fate as his predecessors, with Pochettino among the favorites to come in as a replacement.
Moyes was sacked as United boss after a 2-0 defeat by the Toffees, who he formerly managed, and has warned Solskjaer he needs a result if he is to avoid the same fate.
United travel to Goodison to take on Everton on Saturday and the result could determine a lot about the United manager’s future.
“All managers are under pressure,” Moyes said as quoted by Goal.
“At Manchester United, there is more pressure than any club in the world. It comes with the job. We know what happens if you don’t win enough games.”
Everton have lost their last two top-flight matches and have picked up just a point since winning their first four games of the season. Indeed, they will be eager to make a reaction against a Solskjaer-led Manchester United.
