A bright prospect has been finding timekeeping hard as of late, and Manchester United have made sure to remind him about his duties.
Mason Greenwood sat out each of the last two games for Manchester United, missing the Premier League win over Newcastle United and the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
On being asked about his lack of action, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested that the forward was recovering from a minor injury setback which he referred to as a “niggle”.
The teenager indeed had injury concern but that is supposedly not the only reason for his absence in back-to-back matches.
According to the Guardian, Greenwood has failed to report for duty on time on several occasions. The Red Devils, obviously not happy with his behavior, gave him a talking to regarding his poor timekeeping.
The England international also generated the wrong kind of headlines while away on national duty earlier this month when he risked the safety of his teammates by breaching COVID-19 health guidelines.
Considered as one of the brightest young talents, Greenwood enjoyed a meteoric rise last season as his 10 goals in the Premier League proved to be elemental to Man United’s third-place finish.
