Ahead of Man United’s clash against PSG, Kylian Mbappe confessed his admiration for one specific player inside the Red Devils.
Even though Kylian Mbappe has Cristiano Ronaldo as his role model, the PSG star also admires a specific Manchester United star. Ahead of his side’s upcoming Champions League clash against the Red Devils. The French forward wanted to pay his respect towards Marcus Rashford.
As one of England’s rising stars, the recently names MBE received high praise from the France international for his achievements on and off the pitch. Mbappe especially remembers that heartbreaking elimination against Manchester United in the Champions League’s round of 16 from two years ago.
During that historic night for the Red Devils, Rashford was one of the leaders for his side. Kylian Mbappe doesn’t forget that dreadful night and hopes his side can do better.
Mbappe praised Rashford’s fight vs child poverty.
The PSG striker started by mentioning that elimination from two years ago: “When you take a penalty in that situation, how much practice you have put on the training ground doesn’t matter,” said Mbappe to The Mirror.
“It’s about confidence and he’s a player who plays with so much confidence. “He’s one of the most dangerous forward players in England.
“Paul Pogba has spoken about how special he is – and he doesn’t talk about players in such a way often.”
“To tackle an issue as important as child poverty is one of the most important things that somebody can do,” added Mbappe.
“So I have full respect that he’s been doing that and trying to make a real change.
“I do think there is a requirement for players to use their position to make a difference in the world. We’ve been given so much and it’s important that we give back.”
