The Former Tottenham gaffer is heavily linked with Manchester United and Manchester City both and will have to make a choice.

Mauricio Pochettino would be more excited at the possibility of selecting Manchester United than taking over at Manchester City.

That is Ally McCoist perspective. He believes that the ex-Spurs coach would be more qualified to Old Trafford than the Etihad.

With City and United having a weak start to the season. There is a lot of pressure on Pep Guardiola and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Especially as it is seen that Solskjaer is likely to be the first manager to let go of in the Premier League.

Subsequently, Pochettino is without a job since he left Tottenham Hotspur last season. And is appearing to be the best switch for Solskjaer. Considering the fact that United had to opportunity to gain nine points but ended with only three points.

Unfortunately, United’s last game appeared to have the team get brutally defeated. With a final score of 6-1 at their home stadium. It was a humiliating ending to the match to Pochettino’s previous side before the international break.

United or City?

McCoist thinks if the Argentine is given a choice for picking between United or City, he would pick the Red Devils.

“United, I think,” McCoist responded when asked which of the two jobs Pochettino would likely favour.

“It’s a bit like Spurs where they probably haven’t won anything for a long. Long time in terms of the league. I think that would maybe appeal to him a lot more.

“So I think there’s probably more work to do maybe at Manchester United than perhaps Manchester City.

“I think that would maybe slightly appeal more to a coach like Mauricio Pochettino more.

“If you’re sitting back looking at it then maybe the greater achievement would be winning the title with Manchester United. As City have certainly done it recently.”
