Arsenal and Ozil to part ways?

Recent events are point in the direction that Arsenal could end their seven-year association with Mesut Ozil. The German midfielder was recently left out of the Gunners’ Europa League squad. Rumors say he could suffer the same fate in the Premier League as well. Should this go on to happen, reports say the Gunners would now open talks with Ozil to terminate his contract as early as January. The German is already in the final eight months of his contract. Man United to go all out for Upamecano

Manchester United will attempt to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano next summer. The French defender attracted interest from a host of sides this summer but eventually ended up signing a new contract with Leipzig. However, Upamecano has a release clause in his new contract believed to be £36.5m. The Red Devils will attempt to play on that next summer. Depay opens up on failed Barcelona move

Lyon’s Memphis Depay says certain issues beyond his control stopped him from securing a late move to Barcelona. The Catalan giants made no secret of their interest in the Dutchman all summer. Personal terms and all seemed to be agreed and it looked like it was all but a ‘done deal’. In the end, the deal never materialized. Depay says he is disappointed about it all and reports now say Barcelona could go all out for the forward again in January.  (AS)

City making progress in De Bruyne contract talks

Manchester City are in talks with Kevin De Bruyne regarding a new deal. The Citizens are looking to tie down the Belgian midfielder to a five-year contract. Talks are so far going well and City are optimistic they will get it over the line. Should De Bruyne sign the contract, it means he would be 34 by the end of his new deal.
