As he tries to get himself back in everyone’s good graces, one of Barcelona’s forwards just made a gesture to impress Ronald Koeman.

Let’s be honest, Ronald Koeman doesn’t seem like the type of manager who gets easily impressed as Barcelona’s coach. Every single player but Messi, will have to fight for a spot inside the squad’s starting eleven. But there are some specific players who need to make an extra effort due to their recent poor results on a personal aspect.

One of these players is Ousmane Dembele, the other one is Antoine Griezmann. While the former Atletico Madrid star is with France on international duty, his compatriot remains in Barcelona. After missing Monday’s practice with the idea he could be transferred to another club, he returned to practice after a failed attempt.

Although Ronald Koeman decided to give the day to the players who remained at the club during the break, the young forward made an important gesture. There are videos of Dembele training on everybody’s day off, which was off-book from him until today. Now that he knows he will remain at the club, Dembele wants to work hard in order to gain Ronald Koeman’s confidence.

Dembele wants to recover his Borussia Dortmund version.

The fact that injuries have played a major role in Dembele’s Barcelona career, is something that hurts him on a daily basis. They agreed to pay €148 million for a good reason, his previous two professional seasons were simply spectacular. During his only year at Borussia Dortmund, Ousmane played 49 matches where he scored 10 goals and provided 21 assists. A season before that, he appeared in 29 games with 12 goals and 5 assists during his spell at Rennes.

We can tell through the videos posted by Barcelona’s social media, that Dembele is a great player. Taking this step towards earning back the gaffer’s trust is a smart move. We simply hope he doesn’t get injured as regularly anymore so we can finally enjoy his quality. Everybody knows that if he doesn’t get injured, Ousmane can easily accompany Messi and Ansu Fati on the attack. That would make Barcelona unstoppable.
