Thiago Silva vows to give his everything at Stamford Bridge as he looks to further decorate his highly-glittering resume.
Considered by many as one of the finest players of his position of this generation, Thiago Silva has enjoyed immense success at domestic as well as international level so far in his career.
The center-back made himself known to the world while at AC Milan, with whom he won a Scudetto and Supercoppa Italiana.
It was after his move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 that he forged his reputation as a world-beater, winning a total of 23 trophies – including seven Ligue 1 titles – in eight years at Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian joined Chelsea on a free transfer earlier this summer and now wants to use his vast experience to help his new side in their pursuit of glory.
“I’m not here just to go through the motions, or just for the experience – I’m here to win,” Silva told the club’s official matchday program ahead of the fourth-round Carabao Cup clash with Tottenham.
“I want everyone to be very clear about that: I’m going to give my all to make sure that Chelsea win.
“I’m certain, with the group of players we’ve got and a coach who’s a natural leader, that we’ll be in the fight for every piece of silverware going this year.”
