Juventus have thanked Gonzalo Higuain for his four years of service for the club after terminating his contract on mutual agreement.

Andrea Pirlo was handed over the Juventus managerial reins as the club strongly desired to become as much of a dominant force at the continental level as they are at the domestic level.

The new boss is reportedly planning a squad overhaul and has already deemed a few of the players surplus to his requirements, one of which is Gonzalo Higuain.

Pirlo earlier notified that he does not have Higuain in his future plans and that he will be allowed to let go for free.

The Argentine striker has featured 149 times for the Bianconeri, while scoring 66 goals and winning five trophies in the process, ever since joining them back in 2016.

He has had many enjoyable moments in the famous White and Black shirt but his four-year stint at the Allianz Stadium has now officially come to an end.

Juve drafted a length farewell note on their official website for Higuain some excerpts of which is mentioned below:

“There were many battles together, many goals scored, with many often decisive. Now the paths of Gonzalo Higuain and Juventus go their separate ways: Pipita, after winning his third Scudetto, has officially taken off his Black and White shirt.

“Pipa, from the beginning, was able to enter the hearts of the Juventus fans thanks to that irrepressible desire to be decisive and find the back of the net.

“In the cavalcade that made us #Stron9er, precious goals remain in mind: the one against Inter at San Siro, for example, or the brace scored against Atalanta in Bergamo.

“Now it’s time to say goodbye: thanks for everything, Pipa! And good luck for your future.”
