Man Utd quoted £50m for Jadon Sancho alternative

Manchester United could be priced out of a deal for Bournemouth’s David Brooks after Tottenham joined the race.

Manchester United have identified Brooks as Jadon Sancho’s alternative. Talks between United and Borussia Dortmund are taking too long now, with the Red Devils already exploring other options.

After giving up the likes of Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser earlier in the summer, Bournemouth are desperate to keep hold of the young winger.

The Cherries have already slapped a £50million price tag on Brooks’ head as per of those efforts. It will be a daunting prospect to fend off the interest from Manchester United and Tottenham, though.

According to the Express Sport, the two Premier League sides are ready to enter into a bidding war to land the 23-year-old forward.

Manchester United see Brooks as an alternative option for Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund are sticking to their £108m valuation, throwing a spanner in the works on the deal.

Despite the Old Trafford outfit striking a personal agreement with the 20-year-old, doing so with Dortmund represents an uphill task.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is also considering the prospect of welcoming Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale back to the Premier League. While Douglas Costa of Juventus also remains a potential option.

But, Brooks, who already proved himself in the English top-flight, would be a long-term solution, unlike the aforementioned duo.

Yet, Jose Mourinho is keen to beat his former employers to the Englishman’s signature. Spurs’ involvement in the race will at least make United’s life much more complicated.
