Italy were held to a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Roberto Mancini wants his side to take all three points against the Oranje.
Stefano Sensi equalized for Italy after Bosnia had taken the lead through Eden Dzeko. The scores would not change and the points were shared in this Nations League encounter.
Roberto Mancini does not want a repeat of this performance. The former Inter Milan manager has urged his players to go for broke against the Netherlands in their next outing.
“I hope my team will play well and be positive, the way they were against Bosnia, even if some things didn’t quite go to plan in that game,” Football Italia quoted Mancini.
“We must try to get the victory. It would’ve been better to have played in October, especially as we are still without the fans.”
After the gaffe that saw Giorgio Chiellini sit out, Mancini shared part of his starting line-up preemptively.
“I can confirm four of the starting XI tomorrow, which will be Gianluigi Donnarumma, Giorgio Chiellini, Jorginho and Ciro Immobile,” the Italian coach added.
Italy have two very different forwards leading their lines. Andrea Belotti and Ciro Immobile play in different systems and offer distinct qualities. Mancini believes this adds more flavor to their attack and is their strength.
“Our forwards are accustomed to playing in a different way at club level and they are adapting. We could’ve scored more goals or helped with greater movement, but Belotti and Immobile did their duty. We must do more tomorrow,” Mancini sain while answering queries.
“It’s important that we don’t lose our identity, but at the same time go for the victory via the performance.
