Neymar has no reason to push for a return to Barcelona given the chaos and instability at the Camp Nou, says Rivaldo.

Neymar and Barcelona seemed destined for each other for a long time. It seemed the perfect story until the Brazilian wanted a different challenge elsewhere.

In the summer of 2017, PSG made the skillful forward the most expensive player of all time. The French giants paid Barcelona a handsome fee of €222m.

Despite his exit, it always seemed like Neymar would return to the Catalan giants at some points.

Regardless of how sour his exit turned out, the Spanish giants welcomed the idea of having their former player back. The interest was not hidden from the public and Barca even made concrete attempts to re-sign the Brazilian.

PSG shut the door on multiple occasions but the Neymar to Barcelona stories have never stopped.

Once again, those reports are up in the air but Rivaldo explains why his compatriot is better off at PSG.

The Ligue 1 champions made it to the Champions League finals but lost out to a quality Bayern Munich side. Regardless, PSG can be expected to challenge for European honors once again next season.

The situation at Barca is quite different. A declining squad plus the prospect of their best player leaving doesn’t leave for pleasant reading. All of that and many more means Neymar is better off at PSG, says Rivaldo.

He told Betfair of an illustrious fellow countryman: “After everything he went through since his arrival at PSG, I think Neymar has to be congratulated for reaching the Champions League final after three seasons with the club.”

“He had a tough time in France after he tried to return to Barcelona, being booed at his own stadium, but he managed to turn things around and I admire him because of that.”

“Today, he is totally focused on the club and playing well, so the fans are supporting him. He has no reason to leave the club now, especially given the chaos at Barca.”

“PSG shouldn’t make too many changes to their squad for next season, so their understanding will improve a bit more and they should be strong contenders again in the Champions League.”

Neymar has two years left on his current PSG contract as talks of an exit continue to resurface from time to time.
