Dean Smith wants to reinforce his attacking ranks at Aston Villa and is eyeing moves for Callum Wilson and Matty Cash from the Sky Bet Championship.
AFC Bournemouth were relegated on the final day. The Cherris fate was intertwined with Aston Villa, whose late burst secured their stay in the Premier League.
Villa now want to heap more problems on the beleaguered Bournemouth. They want to raid the recently relegated club for England striker Callum Wilson.
BBC reported that Aston Villa have opened talks for Wilson. The speculated deal will be worth about £20 million.
Wilson’s addition will ease pressure from Jack Grealish’s shoulders, who seems to continue at Villa Park for the time being.
The Bournemouth forward had a much more prolific season that Wesley. However, both struggled in the 2019/20 campaign. Wilson scored seven Premier League goals, while Wesley hit five, although the Brazilian played 14 games less.
Another player linked with the Lions is Matty Cash of Nottingham Forest. The English right-back Matty Cash will be available for £16 million and represent value in thre transfer market.
He was one of the highlights in Forest’s side as they missed out on promotion play-offs last season through Championship placement.
Cash came through the Tricky Trees youth academy in 2016 and has made 141 appearances for the club.
