Argentine midfielder Ezequiel D’Angelo has his say on the Lionel Messi transfer saga.
Deportivo Moron midfielder Ezequiel D’Angelo has advice for Leo Messi on his potential move to England.
D’Angelo, who is playing in Argentina’s Second Division, spent a month on trial at Manchester City back in 2011.
“It was a great experience,” he said via Marca. “I’d been a professional for barely a year, I went for a week-long trial and ended up staying for a month.”
“I had a great time. I have no regrets at not being able to stay. What stuck with me is that it rained there all month.
“[Manchester] is a cold city and the houses are all the same – it’s different to what we’re used to. I had the chance to go to Barcelona and they’re two very different cities.”
D’Angelo believes Messi should reunite with former Barca teammate Neymar and join PSG instead.
“If he thinks that he’ll find happiness in England, then go, but he’s not going to like the weather,” he added.
“It’d be better if he went to PSG and he’ll enjoy it a bit more with Neymar.”
