According to a report, Inter Milan will make a renewed attempt to sign Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Just over a year since he signed for Tottenham, Ndombele is strongly linked with an exit from the club.
Signing from Lyon with lots of promise, the 23-year-old has failed to live to the reputation on his shoulders. It makes for sore reading when you consider he is Spurs’ record signing at £63m.
It seemed to be going fine for Ndombele until the arrival of Jose Mourinho. The pair never seemed to get along just fine. At one point, the Spurs boss even criticized the midfielder in public.
Inter were looking to capitalize on the situation and made a request to sign the player during lockdown. Tottenham rejected any such plans immediately but Inter won’t just give up.
French outlet RMC Sport claim the Nerazzurri are ready to make yet another attempt for Ndombele this summer.
However, it won’t come easy. The same report adds that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is not willing to sell such an ‘expensive’ player after only 13 months at the club.
In addition to that, Levy still has much faith in Ndombele and believes he can turnaround his fortunes under Mourinho.
Regardless, Inter will make a move for the 23-year-old and tempt Tottenham as much as they can to sell.
Antonio Conte is reportedly a keen admirer of the Frenchman and is keen to add him to Inter’s ranks.
