Manchester United are ready to switch their interest from Jadon Sancho to David Brooks of Bournemouth to reinforce the attacking line.

Sancho is seen as a key addition to Manchester United this summer, but Borussia Dortmund are sticking to their exorbitant £102million valuation.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and the Bundesliga heavyweights are locked in talks, and unless they can make a breakthrough soon, the Red Devils will have to source other alternatives.

Signing a top-class winger is high on Solskjaer’s list of priorities for the summer.

Although a very few wide forwards can match Sancho’s goal-involvement record over the past two years, the Norwegian may have to settle with a less attractive option.

As reported by the Express Sport, David Brooks could be an answer to Manchester United’s search, especially after Bournemouth suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Brooks, who endured an injury-plagued season, returned to the fold for the final stretch of the 2019/20 season only to see his team surrender their top-flight status.

Since Bournemouth already announced all of their players are available for the right price, the 23-year-old forward could be on his way out of the Vitality Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Wales international and is looking to launch a bid in the upcoming period.

However, Spurs’ transfer budget has been severely crippled by the coronavirus crisis, requiring the Londoners to sell some of their first-team players before bringing in new faces.

Manchester United, on the other hand, have the financial stability to meet Bournemouth’s £40million asking price.

Ed Woodward would not only save money from shifting his attention from Sancho to Brooks but could also do it at the expense of United’s former manager.

Bayern Munich’s Kinglsey Coman and Juventus’ Douglas Costa remain viable options, but signing the former will be quite daunting while the latter has two mediocre seasons behind him.
