Harry Maguire has reportedly been detained by the police after following an alleged fight incident whilst on holiday in Greece.
The Manchester United squad are currently on a two weeks off after the end of their 2019/20 season following a Europa League semi-finals exit.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, some restrictions have been imposed on the players as to which countries they can travel.
According to Greek newspaper Proto Thema, the 27-year old was spotted having an altercation with other British tourists outside a bar on Thursday night.
Harry Maguire has headed to the Greek island of Mykonos with family and friends to take time off before the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
He then fought back physically and verbally when police officers intervened, which led to his arrest in the early hours of Friday.
As Sky Sports reports, Manchester United recently issued a statement following their captain’s arrest reports: “The club is aware of an alleged incident involving Harry Maguire in Mykonos last night.
“Contact has been made with Harry, and he is fully cooperating with the Greek authorities. At this time we will be making no further comment.”
