Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel expects his team to encounter a challenging task of overcoming Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final.

Tuchel’s side fought their way into their first-ever Champions League final thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win over RB Leipzig in the semi-finals.

But, it’s not been all rosy for PSG in early knock-out stage rounds.

They had to overturn a 2-1 first-leg deficit to shrug off Borussia Dortmund in their last-16 tie before pulling off a stunning late comeback to beat Atalanta 2-1 in the quarter-finals.

Everything is now set for Tuchel and his men to make what would be a historic success for PSG and climb at the top of Europe.

However, lifting the flattering prize won’t be a straightforward task, as arguably the most impressive European team at the present moment will be standing on the other side.

Bayern have not only won all ten of their Champions League fixtures this season, but they’ve netted the competition’s record average of 4.2 goals per match.

Led by the top goalscorer, Robert Lewandowski, the German giants have their eyes set on the sixth Champions League title, first since 2012/13.

Well aware of the opposition’s quality, Tuchel has described the upcoming showdown as ‘very, very difficult.’

“It will be very, very difficult because, as you say, Bayern Munich have won all their last important matches,” Tuchel said during the pre-match conference, as relayed by Eurosport.

“They are very, very strong, with their individual quality and the intensity in their game, but there are always spaces to be found, there are always solutions to be found.

“It’s going to be difficult, but it’s a final.”

Tuchel will heavily rely upon his star-forward duo, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, to deliver in arguably the most significant game in the club’s history.

The electrifying duo failed to get on the scoresheet in both of their previous Champions League outings but are expected to step up later tonight.
