The Reds boss was asked to compare Mohamed Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Liverpool’s visit to Manchester United in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp believes Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘slightly better’ in the air than Mohamed Salah and has a better right foot, but he refused to declare who is the better player.
It was only last weekend when the Liverpool manager declared Salah as the world’s best player, ahead of even Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, after the Egyptian helped the club thrash Watford 5-0.
But ahead of Sunday’s blockbuster showdown between sworn rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, Klopp tried to not add any more fuel to the heated Salah-Ronaldo debate.
🗣 "Why should we compare Cristiano Ronaldo and Mo Salah? Mo's left foot is probably better, but Cristiano in the air and right foot is probably better."

“Why should we compare them?” the Reds boss told reporters in a press conference on Friday afternoon.
“Both are world-class players, so that’s how it is. I would say even when Ronaldo’s left foot is not that bad, but I would say Mo’s left foot is probably better. Maybe then Cristiano in the air is slightly better and the right foot is probably better. But speed-wise they are both pretty quick, very desperate to score goals – so maybe that’s it.
He added: “But I really never thought properly about that and I’m not too interested in it, sorry.”
The Salah-Ronaldo saga has gone up a notch ever since the five-time Ballon d’Or winner pipped the former to the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for September – much to the fury of many fans.
Sunday will be the first time the two players meet in the Premier League since Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United.
