One of world football’s most valuable assets, the Norwegian marksman has left the European heavyweights drooling over him.

Borussia Dortmund are expecting Erling Haaland to stay put at the club for at least another season, says the club’s head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl.

Haaland is one of the frontrunners for the 2021 Golden Boot and is in the running for this year’s Ballon d’Or alongside titans Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The Norway international has forged his reputation as one of the world’s most lethal finishers at just 20 years of age, and it is not surprising that he has been linked with almost every top European side.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea have reportedly identified the striker as a priority transfer target.

FC Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, and Manchester City have also been tipped as potential destinations for the ex-Salzburg man.

“Borussia Dortmund remain the right club for him, his path here isn’t over yet,” Kehl told SportBild.

“We assume that he will stay beyond the summer and become an even better player with us.”

Haaland has been in red-hot form in front of goal, scoring 17 goals in 18 games in Bundesliga so far this campaign. In total, he has scored 33 goals in 31 appearances in 2020-21.
