Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal faced the Republic of Ireland today in the opening match of the World Cup Qualifiers with an international milestone included. At first, the local side didn’t seem like they would get past a defeat in front of their own crowd. The Irish squad proved to be a tough opponent despite their status as the visiting side.
