Zinedine Zidane reveals one of his star players is close to full fitness after a frustrating period filled with injuries.
The good news for Zinedine Zidane just keeps on coming, following the 3-1 El Clasico win against Barcelona.
The French head coach will have Eden Hazard available for the Champions League trip to Monchengladbach on Tuesday evening.
Zidane has described Hazard’s return as “positive news” for the team.
“If Hazard is with us, it’s because he is well and that is good news overall,” he said via Marca.
“We are all happy to have him with us. Tomorrow we will see how we can use him. It’s very positive news for us.”
Real Madrid travel to Germany after last week’s 3-2 home defeat to Shakhtar. It is a must-win game for the Whites before two encounters with Inter Milan in the next two rounds.
“We are looking at things from the context of what we did over the weekend [win the Clasico], playing a good match for 90 minutes as a team,” Zidane added.
“We fought and played well, and that’s what we have to do tomorrow.
“Stay focussed and fight, because it’s going to be a hard match. We are playing difficult teams every three days.”
