Robert Lewandowski has only scored five goals in his last 13 appearances for Barcelona.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has refuted concerns over Robert Lewandowski’s form, insisting winning LaLiga is his priority.

Since his €45 million summer arrival from Bayern Munich, Lewandowski has put away 27 goals and seven assists in 36 games for Barcelona – including a league-best of 17 goals in LaLiga.

However, the 34-year-old striker has struggled recently, with Monday’s 0-0 draw against Girona meaning he has failed to score in nine of his last 13 appearances for Barca across all tournaments.

“I’m not worried about Lewandowski, I’m worried about winning La Liga”, Xavi told reporters at Camp Nou.

“We played a good game against Girona. We lacked success in front of the goal, but I think a victory was deserved.

“We’re 13 away points ahead of second place, with 10 games to go. We would’ve signed with blood to be 13 clear at the start of the season.”

Lewandowski will hope to get back on the scoresheet this Sunday when Barcelona visit Getafe in Madrid.
