West Ham continued their fine recent run of form by securing a marginal yet crucial London derby win over Tottenham on Sunday.
The first half was not particularly packed with action, with both sides creating only a few chances. Hugo Lloris was called into action just before the interval, and the goalkeeper produced a good stop to prevent Harry Kane from making the breakthrough.
Michael Antonio scored the only goal of the match with 72 minutes on the clock, reacting first to Aaron Cresswell’s corner delivery and poking home from close range.
The victory moved the Hammers up to fourth place in the Premier League standings. Spurs, meanwhile, slide down to sixth place on 15 points.
