Bruno Fernandes has given the fans his word of honor over future glory following Manchester United’s Europa League exit.

A narrow 2-1 defeat to Sevilla on Sunday saw Manchester United crash out of the Europa League.

The biggest implication of their third semi-final loss of the season is that Man United endured a trophyless 2019/20.

The Red Devils have now gone three successive seasons without winning a trophy, with the Europa League triumph under Jose Mourinho in 2017 being their last silverware.

The team have made great strides under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but they have nothing to show for it.

But Bruno Fernandes is confident that Solskjaer’s efforts will bear fruit in the future. In an Instagram post, addressed to his 2.6 million followers, Fernandes expresses gratitude to fans for their immense support before setting future achievement targets.

“Unfortunately our journey in the Europa League ends here,” wrote the Portuguese midfielder.

“It is now time for rest and to reflect so that we come back even stronger and reach the goals we set ourselves for the next season!

“Thank you to all my team-mates and staff who welcomed me so well over these past months at the Red Devils. I hope to continue to learn and grow every day with you, and that we may conquer many titles in the future.”
