With the first goal in Dortmund’s 2-2 draw, Jadon Sancho continued his positive streak in 2021. Erling Haaland saved a point in the end.

Even though Borussia Dortmund isn’t doing a great job in the Bundesliga right now, they can still rest easy for having Jadon Sancho. The constant rumors about his future didn’t stop last year. His links to Manchester United were impossible to escape for him. We can spot the moment when fame started going to his head a little bit. Sancho’s level dramatically dropped, which is a factor for Dortmund’s place in the Bundesliga table today.

However, it appears he finally understood that he hasn’t accomplished anything yet. Jadon Sancho started 2021 with a bang and probably at the top of his game. In the Bundesliga alone, Jadon Sancho has four goals and four assists in eight played matches. Needless to say, his goal against Hoffenheim today proves he will be back at the top of the list for any major football club in Europe. Raphael Guerreiro set him up for an early opener that Dortmund couldn’t hold.

Haaland saves one point near the end.

After getting a disallowed goal from VAR, Erling Haaland seemed dead set on changing Borussia Dortmund’s fate today. He got to score a goal with some controversy after striking the ball with a Hoffenheim player laying on the ground. Even though the goal was allowed, this conduct is considered dishonorable in football.

All rivals got on Haaland’s face as the situation escalated quickly. This point Haaland saved for Dortmund doesn’t do much for them as they sink to the sixth place on the table. If they remain like this, the Norwegian striker will likely leave the club along Jadon Sancho in the summer. Both young stars are the under ’20s who produce the most goals in European football today.
