Thiago Silva's wife slams Werner for miss against Real Madrid

The Germany international was not wearing his shooting boots in the Champions League semi-final first-leg on Wednesday.

Thiago Silva’s wife had a pop at Timo Werner for missing an easy opportunity during Chelsea’s clash with Real Madrid.

Chelsea were presented a big opportunity to take the lead inside the first ten minutes when Mason Mount drifted down the left flank and found Christian Pulisic with a cross inside the box. Pulisic directed the ball towards Werner, who had the simple task of tapping it home from around four yards out but saw his shot saved by Thibaut Courtois.

Late in the game, the German marksman was guilty of squandering another chance as he dragged an effort wide.

Thomas Tuchel voiced his frustration over the misfiring striker after his side’s 1-1 draw at the Alfredo Di Stefano.

Echoing Tuchel’s sentiments, Isabele da Silva also launched an attack towards the error-prone German.

“This is karma, guys. Every team I go to there is a striker who keeps missing goals… this Werner, what is his name?,” she stated in a video posted on her Instagram account during the first half, as per The Mirror.

In a second video, she added: “We need a goal, we need to win this match but my attackers don’t want to score, I don’t know why they don’t score.”
