Saudi Arabia pulled out all the stops to link-up with Ronaldo by offering him a huge financial package, but had no success whatsoever.
Cristiano Ronaldo has rejected a €6 million commercial offer from Saudi Arabia’s tourism authority, according to reports.
The Middle East nation hoped to make Ronaldo the face of their latest tourism marketing campaign. Given CR7’s profile as arguably the most famous athlete on the planet, along with his millions of social media followers, he was naturally a top target.
Saudi Arabia hoped to use the Juventus star in adverts and would’ve paid him for all his visits to the country on top of the €6m on offer.

But The Telegraph claim Ronaldo has turned down the offer and added that Lionel Messi’s representatives have also been approached.
It’s not the first time that football has been used in Saudi Arabia for promotional purposes either, having played host to the 2020 Spanish Super Cup.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, recently won the Juventus MVP of the Month award for December and is preparing for the club’s Serie A match against Bologna on Sunday.
