Mbappe’s brace was not enough for the Ligue 1 champions to beat Strasburg.

Strasburg held Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-3 draw in their Ligue 1 game on Friday. A last-minute goal secured a precious point for the hosts while PSG failed to win their second game in a row.

Another victory thrown away by PSG!

Strasbourg shocked PSG with an early opener in the second minute, but PSG bounced back through Kylian Mbappe 20 minutes later.

Following a 1- 1 draw in the first half, the Parisians took complete control of the game after the interval. Mbappe provided an assist for Achraf Hakimi, who put PSG ahead four minutes after the hour-mark.

A brilliant build-up play saw the Morocco international scoring his fourth goal of the season. Mbappe completed his brilliant display by making it 3-1 for PSG only four minutes later.

A horrible back pass from Alexander Djiko saw the French star running behind Strasbourg’s backline and doubling PSG’s lead with a precise low shot.

PSG were on their way to securing a relatively easy victory when an own goal from Marco Verratti changed the course of the game.

Following a well-taken corner, Strasbourg’s Habib Diallo unleashed a header toward PSG’s goal. The ball deflected off Verratti’s knee and onto the back of the net, bringing the hosts back into the game.

Strasbourg then reinforced their attacks in the final ten minutes and finally managed to clinch the equalizer in the 92nd minute. Dimitri Lienard’s cross from the left side of the box found Anthony Caci, who smashed the ball behind Gianluigi Donnarumma as soon as he received it inside the box.

What’s next for PSG?

PSG secured their Ligue 1 title after another draw last week. However, their unstable performance can still attract criticism toward Pochettino, who is linked with a move away from Parc des Princes ahead of the next summer.

The Parisians will continue their league campaign with a match against Troyes on May 8.
