Son Heung-min and co. are ‘devastated’ after the team lost focus and consequently picked up just a point in their latest match.

Tottenham started the game against West Ham in a lively manner, going front at the very first minute.

The home side continued their dominance by netting two more goals within 15 minutes of the first one.

A loss of concentration was noticed from them, however, late in the game and West Ham were quick enough to take advantage of the opposition’s inadequacy.

The three points that Spurs were looking to take away were reduced to just one as they allowed their defense to be breached three times during the final 14 minutes.

It was Son Heung-min who struck the opening goal, and he admits that his side’s performance was simply an unacceptable one.

“The lads are devastated for the result. We think we deserved three points and played really well until the last 10 minutes. It’s a shock,” Son told Sky Sports after the full-time whistle, via Goal.

“It should never happen but it is part of football. We have to be focused until the referee’s whistle. I don’t want to feel this again, this is a good lesson for us to never happen again.

“It is so sad for me. The players, the team, are all sad. What happened, happened. It is just so sad.”

Tottenham will be looking to not repeat their mistakes and grab all three points when they go against Austrian outfit LASK in the Europa League opener at home on Thursday.
