A new stat has come to light showing just how much Juventus have suffered without Cristiano Ronaldo in the line-up.

Three positive COVID-19 tests forced Ronaldo to miss Juventus’ last four games, including the midweek Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

The Portuguese superstar had been in brilliant form before then, scoring three goals in just two Serie A games. He even came to Juve’s rescue in his last appearance to salvage a valuable point at Roma with a brace.

But in his absence, Andrea Pirlo’s side have won just once in four games (D2 L1) and only scored more than one goal once.

Coincidence? Not at all!

Calciomercato released a stat proving how much the Bianconeri suffer without their star man and his many goals by claiming the team only have a win ratio of 55% in his absence.

In total, Juventus have won 10 of their 18 games when Ronaldo has been unavailable. But when the 35-year-old is leading the charge, they’ve won 61 of their 91 games – which translates to a 61% win ratio.

Fortunately, Ronaldo tested negative in his latest COVID-19 test on Friday evening to end his period of self-isolation.

Pirlo will be eager to play Cristiano in the club’s next Serie A game away to Spezia on Sunday afternoon. The head coach has confirmed his return to training, but has suggested he won’t start the upcoming game.
