Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have blown hot and cold this season but they tend to hit top gear whenever playing on away soil.

Sheffield United are set to welcome Manchester United for what will be the sole Premier League fixture of Thursday.

The English top-flight campaign so far hasn’t been kind to the hosts at all and they will continue the quest for a first win when then take to the Bramall Lane next time out.

Overcoming the Blades shouldn’t be a job too troubling for the Red Devils who boast an immaculate record on their travels. The visitors also have the opportunity to match Tottenham’s 60-year-old record of becoming the team to score two or more goals in 10 successive Premier League games.

Sheffield United vs Man United Form:

Chris Wilder’s men took the English top-flight by storm after their promotion last season but have struggled vastly this term.

They are still waiting for their first win after 12 games and sit rock-bottom in the table after picking up a disappointing one point – their worst ever start to an English top-flight campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team come into the match on the back of a goalless draw against rivals Manchester City.

They too haven’t exactly been in the best of forms up until this point but their form on the road is quite intimidating with 15 of their 20 points coming from away games.

It has become a habit for them to come back from behind and snatch a victory, having conceded first but produced a comeback in each of the five away matches – something no team has ever done before in the Premier League.

Sheffield United vs Man United Head-to-head:

Man United have won four of the previous five encounters with the only other resulting in a draw.

Anthony Martial struck a hat-trick in his side’s 3-0 win when the last time the two clubs faced each other.

Sheffield United vs Man United Team News:

Oli McBurnie remains a doubt for the home side and so is Simon Moore while Jack O’Connell’s absence is certain.

Edinson Cavani is expected to sit out Thursday night’s clash while Phil Jones is ruled out due to injury. Martial, who started on the bench in the derby, could come return to the starting XI.
