The England international is currently away on international duty, but he may not be able to represent his nation on Thursday.

Jadon Sancho has suffered a “small knock”, England head coach Gareth Southgate has informed.

Sancho linked up with his international teammates recently after being named in England’s 25-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers in August.

The Three Lions, who made it to the final of Euro 2020 but couldn’t quite go all the way, are set to face Hungary on Thursday, with fixtures against Andorra and Poland to follow.

The Manchester United winger is a doubt for his nation’s upcoming match, having picked up a minor problem in training.

“We’ve got a small knock with Jadon this morning so we’re going to assess him,” Southgate told a press conference on Wednesday, per Independent.

“Everyone else is fine.”

Sancho featured in each of the three 2021-22 Premier League games for Man United – coming off the bench in the win against Leeds United and in the Southampton stalemate while making his full debut against Wolves.

Although it is way too early to make any claims, the former Borussia Dortmund man has been unable to settle down at his new side so far.
