The ‘Egyptian King’ opened up about his incredible goals for Liverpool in the Premier League earlier this month.

Mohamed Salah has revealed exactly what went through his mind as he scored arguably two of the finest goals of his career.

The Liverpool man won plaudits everywhere for two wonder strikes against Manchester City and Watford in the Premier League recently, showcasing incredible skill in each of the goals.

The first one came on October 3 in a 2-2 draw with City at Anfield. For that goal, Salah weaved his way past around three defenders before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Ederson.

“The sound was unbelievable at Anfield. The fans were so excited,” he told Optus Sport. “For me, the first touch is the most important thing. My plan is to take the left-back at your back and just hold the ball or if he comes quick, just try to hold him and face the center-back after that.

“Once the ball was in, it was unbelievable.”

The 29-year-old proved it was no fluke only a fortnight later by shrugging off a handful of markers to score another incredible goal in Liverpool’s 5-0 win at Watford.

On his strike in Vicarage Road, Salah said: “When I run inside the box, everyone is asking for the ball! If you play in the street, you do that; if you don’t play in the street, you wouldn’t do that.

“Once I dribbled [past] the first one there was an ‘ayyy’, exactly the same feeling as the City goal. I cut back in because I don’t know if the center-back was going to think I’m going to do it like City. It’s a nice feeling when you see the ball going inside the net because I don’t want someone to save it from the line or something. You see the fans so excited; that’s what makes the goal better.”

Salah is set to return to action on Saturday for Liverpool’s clash with Brighton in the Premier League. For match details and betting tips, check out the link here.
