The French outfit offered little in the reverse fixture against the English side, and the same can be expected on Tuesday night.

Chelsea could progress from the group stages of the Champions League when they take to the pitch at Roazhon Park to face Rennes.

With a positive result on Tuesday and if Sevilla succesfully get the better of Krasnodar, which they should, the Blues could book their place in the first knockout round.

It should be a comfortable job for the visitors, who sit atop Group E with seven points, to take all three points against their French hosts, who are at rock-bottom with a single point.

Rennes vs Chelsea Form:

Frank Lampard’s team head into Champions League matchday 4 with a favorable five-game winning streak, with their most recent result being a comfortable 2-0 win against Newcastle.

Only once have the Blues been found on the wrong end of a scoreline – in the 2-0 loss against Premier League champions Liverpool.

The Ligue 1 opposition, on the other hand, enter the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat.

With just one point picked and five goals conceded in three matches, it appears they will need time to adjust to the European atmosphere as they are in the competition for the first time in their history.

Rennes vs Chelsea Head-to-head:

The most recent clash between the two teams ended in Chelsea’s favor, with the English side recording a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Rennes vs Chelsea Team News:

Christian Pulisic will remain unavailable for the upcoming match as he lacks match fitness after a long layoff following a hamstring injury.

Kai Havertz has fully recovered after contracting COVID-19 and is available for selection, and so is Thiago Silva.

Eduardo Camavinga sat out the reverse meeting with injury but should be fit to play on Tuesday. The hosts still have a long list of absentees with M’baye Niang, Faitout Maouassa, Jonas Martin, and Daniele Rugani all out injured and Dalbert suspended.
