The Red Devils are struggling to get back to winning ways as they fell behind in the top-four race.

Manchester United have drawn their last three games with 1-1 results. All three games followed a similar pattern, where United conceded a second-half equalizer after winning the first period.

United have also been missing way too many goalscoring opportunities lately, with manager Ralf Rangnick publicly asking the club to sign new forwards. The German manager admits the recent run of results has affected his squad’s mentality.

“If you are 1-0 up and in three consecutive games concede, this also affects the mind of the players.” the German manager said (via Sky Sports).

“It is obvious, they are still human beings, it is normal.

“There are two things. One, it is to be more effective to kill the games off. Even if this does not happen, we need to stick to the gameplan and stay tactically solid. This is what I mean about taking the next step.”

Rangnick also added he is in regular contact with team psychologist Sascha Lense over his side’s recent problems. The Red Devils have slipped to fifth place on the league table, with Arsenal lurking behind them with two fewer points and two games at hand.

Rangnick’s side will face Brighton in their next league game on Tuesday before meeting Leeds United five days later.
