Paris Saint-Germain dropped their key man Neymar out until after the November international break. The Brazilian sadly suffered from a groin injury ahead of some important fixtures for the French champions.

The 28-year-old however went through careful therapies during PSG’s 2-0 victory in the Champions League over Istanbul Basaksehir. But, we all saw him go off the field early in the first half in order to avoid major aggravations.

Nevertheless, PSG confirmed their dominance in Turkey following Moise Kean’s brace. And now, boss Thomas Tuchel will have his eyes set on the Italy international after Neymar’s subsequent rest period. Though, as it stands, Neymar will be out for a couple of weeks due to the forced injury problem.

“We’re sad,” the coach said. “He’s got a small injury to his adductor. He’ll be back after the break. I don’t think he can play for Brazil. The information that we have is that he’ll be back after the break.”

Before the excitement of national representation begins, PSG will play three games starting with Ligue 1 clash against Nantes. Furthermore, after the weekend’s encounter, PSG will face a difficult task in the Champions League away fixture vs RB Leipzig. Additionally, we might get to see some interesting action in the game against the in-form French side Rennes.

A roller-coaster ride.

PSG strongly wishes to get their star man back by November 20 due to the game against Monaco. On a different note, Neymar became the world’s most expensive player following his arrival at Parc des Princes from Barcelona in 2017.

Most certainly, Tuchel would want the Brazil dribbler back in his squad for the sake of his team. The German boss though mentioned that it was a good decision to switch Neymar after his injury during the game.

“It was necessary to take him off,” he told RMC Sport. “We now have to wait for a diagnosis. It was not serious pain, but he felt uncomfortable. Because of the tight schedule, it might cost him a few games, though I cannot be sure at this point.”

It has been a roller-coaster ride for Neymar right from the beginning of the new season. First, he missed some games due to a positive result for COVID19. Then, the Brazil international was dismissed in the brawl defeat to Marseille. Moreover, Neymar could not reach on time for PSG’s 4-0 win over Nantes after the international break.

However, the PSG attacker has done his best to help the team out with two goals and four assists in six outings.
