The PSG striker provided an update on his future ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

Real Madrid reportedly made two bids for Kylian Mbappe last summer. The Blancos were close to signing the PSG star ahead of the current season. However, he ended up staying on the French side.

The Blancos will most likely return to the market for Mbappe soon. But, the 23-year-old says he will not join Real Madrid this winter.

“No, I’m not joining Real Madrid in January. In January it’s not happening,” he told CNN, adding: “I’m with Paris Saint-Germain, I’m really happy and I will 100 per cent finish the season as PSG player.

“I’ll give everything to win with Paris all titles this year.”

PSG will face Real Madrid in the last-16 round of the Champions League. Mbappe fired a warning to the La Liga leaders ahead of the upcoming battle.

“The only thing on my mind is to beat Real Madrid in Champions League,” Mbappe said. “We are ready and I am ready to play and give everything for PSG.”

Asked about his feelings on playing alongside Lionel Messi, Mbappe responded: “It’s a big pleasure for me to say to my kids, to my friends, I play with him,

“We have to enjoy seeing him in Paris… It’s an amazing moment in the history of the game.”

Mbappe has retained his place as a key player at PSG despite the arrival of Messi. This season, he has scored 15 goals and provided 15 assists in his 24 appearances for the Parisians. However, it will not be easy for the club to tie him down to a new contract.

Mbappe is spending the last six months of his career at PSG, with no signs of a renewal being imminent. The French side reportedly refused to sell Mbappe for anything less than the £166million fee paid to Monaco in 2018. However, they might end up losing their prize asset for free next summer.
