The Rossoneri seem resolute in their quest for a first league title in over a decade, but their boss believes the race remains wide open.

Stefano Pioli is of the view that there are at least seven teams in the race for the 2020-21 Scudetto.

AC Milan claimed an authoritative win over Crotone on Sunday to move two points clear at the top of the Serie A table.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit a brace, reaching an incredible goalscoring milestone in the process, and so did Ante Rebic as the leaders marched on to a 4-0 victory at San Siro.

Consistency is perhaps the Rossoneri’s greatest virtue specialty this season which makes them not only the best team in Italy but also one of the best in all of Europe.

Milan have established a seven-point lead over defending champions Juventus and are two points clear of second-placed Inter Milan. Many are backing them to maintain their fine form all the way to the finishing line and clinch their first Scudetto since 2010.

“Our goal is to expect the best and win every match, we know our qualities and the race to win is always the one after,” said Pioli, via Tuttopsort.

“This is not the time to see the ranking, let’s get ready for a difficult period with many races. We want to move forward also in Europe and we want to keep pushing. The decisive games will come, there are many of us ahead and the championship is balanced.

“I believe that all the top seven can fight to win the Scudetto, the more we go forward and the more the challenges will weigh.”
