The France international is out injured only weeks after rejoining Juve this summer.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will miss the next leg of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States after suffering a knee injury.

The 29-year-old midfielder started in Saturday’s 2-0 friendly win over Mexican side Guadalajara in Nevada, but will not feature when Juventus take on LaLiga giants Barcelona in Dallas on Tuesday.

“Following complaining of pain in his right knee, Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations that revealed a lesion of the lateral meniscus,” read a statement from Juventus.

“In the next few hours, he will undergo a specialist orthopedic consultation. Therefore, in order to continue treatment, he is not taking part in the trip to Dallas.”

Juventus made no comment on when Pogba could return to the pitch.

The World Cup winner returned to the Italian club on a free transfer from Manchester United earlier this month after a six-year absence.

Juventus begin their 2022/23 Serie A campaign at home to Sassuolo on August 15.
