The Giallorossi ended their clash against Juventus with a frustrating stalemate.

Jose Mourinho has hit out at Roma’s squad after their 1-1 draw against Juventus on Saturday.

Dusan Vlahovic stunned Roma with a fantastic free-kick in the second minute. The guests started their efforts to come back into the game almost immediately.

However, their host of missed chances resulted in Juve ending the first half with a narrow win.

The Giallorossi managed to escape the defeat with Tammy Abraham’s goal in the second period. But that wasn’t enough to redeem Mourinho’s unsatisfying evening.

“I told my players at half-time that I was ashamed of them,” Mourinho told DAZN.

“It wasn’t a tactical issue, it was their attitude. We can’t come here and play like this.”

The Roma boss added: “I was very disappointed at the beginning of the game, but then the reply was very positive and I like it.

“It shows maturity, which we didn’t have in the first half.”

The experienced manager went on to criticize Tammy Abraham while praising Paulo Dybala for his performance against the Bianconeri.

“I saw Abraham’s interview. Apparently, he played a great game but it was horrible. Dybala played well,” Mourinho said.

“It was difficult for everyone and when we reached the final third in the second half, we could feel the fear of Juventus fans. It’s part of the game, I am really happy with Paulo.”
