Inter Milan take on the challenge of Shakhtar Donestk in Europa League semi-final with Beppe Moratta wanting them to appear in the final.

After an impressive first season under Antonio Conte, Inter Milan finds themselves on the cusp of Europa League glory. The Nerazzurri face Shakhtar Donestk in the semi-finals and are favorites for the tie.

Sporting Director Beppe Morata believes the Europa League final appearance will be a just reward for Inter Milan. He praised the work done by Conte and feels they deserve it after their hard toils.

“Reaching the Final would be the right reward for the work done by the coach, players and club over the last year, and also bring Inter back to the prestige they deserve,” Football Italia quoted Marotta.

Conte met with Inter President Steven Zhang in Germany. A lot of questions have been raised about the meeting.

Moratta revealed that it was a normal meeting with a positive outcome. Zhang’s presence is always welcomed as it gives them extra motivation.

“There are typical dynamics of a sporting outfit, it’s perfectly normal and all forgotten. Having President Zhang here is always a positive, I saw the right motivation and concentration from everyone to reach the Final,” assured Marotta.

“We are also proud to be representing Italy, which is further recognition for an entirely anomalous season. Reaching this stage in such good shape is further testament to the good work of the club, players and staff.”
