The Liverpool star has been struggling to hit his expected goal numbers this season.

Former Liverpool star John Barnes believes Mohamed Salah can regain his form once the team show collective consistency.

Liverpool are stuck in the ninth spot in the Premier League, suffering back-to-back defeats against Leeds United and Nottingham Forest in their most recent domestic games.

Salah has shown significant signs of improvement lately, but Barnes says it all depends on how the team is playing.

Speaking to BonusCodeBets, he said: “Mo is indicative of how the team is playing. If Liverpool play consistently well, Mo will play consistently well and score goals.

“He has scored a few goals but he’s reflective of the way the team is playing as well. It’s more about the team playing consistently well rather than Mo making the team consistent.

“For the team to be consistent, they need consistency from all of the players.”

Liverpool’s recent results have mounted pressure on Jurgen Klopp. But Barnes believes the Reds will have no chance of finding a better coach than the former Borussia Dortmund boss.

“Klopp’s the best man for any job,” Barnes added.

“He’s the best manager for the best team in the world. They won’t find a better manager than him.

“You can’t let what’s happened in the last five or six last games or this season get in the way of that.”
