Antonio Conte’s men need to bounce back quickly as they return to the Champions League.

Tottenham suffered a 4-1 defeat against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday. The Spurs will go into their Champions League last-16 tie against AC Milan on the back of a shocking defeat.

A goal from Rodrigo Bentancour put Tottenham ahead in the 14th minute. But then came a crushing comeback from Leicester.

Nampalys Mendy and James Maddison scored two goals in two minutes to make it 2-1 for the hosts. Kalechi Iheanacho then scored the Foxes’ third goal of the night just before the break.

Tottenham pushed to come back into the game in the second half. But Leicester finished off the job by making it 4-1 through Harvey Barnes in the 81st minute.

Antonio Conte’s men must now prepare to face Milan in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday. Their opponents come into the game on the back of a different run.

After weeks of poor results, the Rossoneri finally returned to winning ways by beating Torino 1-0 on Friday. Speaking after the game, Stefano Pioli said his side will face the Spurs “at the right time”.

The Milan boss told reporters: “We’ll be there, it will be a difficult match. I know Tottenham well because I know Conte and they deservedly won against [Manchester] City [last week].

“It comes at the right time, this victory will cleanse our heads and our spirit a little. We will be ready to play a match to the best of our ability.

“I can only congratulate our fans, it was a difficult period for them. The fact that they continue to support us can only help us.

“On Tuesday there will be an audience with great opportunities, and we want to live up to the fans and the Champions League.”
