The Rossoneri have been facing turbulent times of late as they are winless in their three matches across all competitions.

Rafael Leao insists AC Milan are “not weaker” even if they are going through a rough patch.

Milan are about to turn their attention to Europe as they are preparing to go against Red Star in the Europa League Round of 32 second-leg.

The Serie A side, though, will not be able to go into the match with their heads held high, having suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of rivals Inter Milan in their previous outing.

The Derby della Madonnina disappointment marked their second successive league defeat and, more importantly, saw them slip four points behind Inter in the Serie A title race.

Stefano Pioli’s men also failed to win the reverse fixture against Red Star as they were held to a 2-2 draw.

“Like every game, we are Milan, and we enter the field to win. We want to go ahead with this competition,” said Leao, via Football Italia.

“We are not a weaker side because we lost the last two games. We work every day, and we want to do well tomorrow.

“We are all feeling well. We are united, we didn’t do well in the last two games, but we want to react.

“There are many young players, we trust each other, and we want to honour the shirt, we are calm and we want to make the most of it.”
