Gazidis’ four-year reign ends as Milan enters a new era after winning the Serie A.
Milan have confirmed Ivan Gazidis will step down as their CRO when his contract ends in December.
Gazidis ended his decade-long spell at Arsenal to join Milan in 2018.
In four years, the South African CEO managed to return Milan’s place among the Italian elite sides. His efforts finally paid off when the Rossoneri won the Scudetto after 11 years last season.
On Wednesday, Milan announced Gazidis won’t stay at the club beyond his current contract.
Milan chairman Paolo Scaroni said: “On behalf of everyone associated with AC Milan, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Ivan for his passion and dedication, as well as the significant contribution he has made to the health and success of this football club, representing and enhancing the core values for which it stands.
“As I said during our recent shareholders’ meeting, it is very easy to be the chairman of an organisation which has a CEO of the quality of Ivan Gazidis.
“I would also like to personally wish him some peaceful and well-deserved time with his family and every success in his next professional chapter.”
Milan are eight points below Napoli as they go into the World Cup break. The Rossoneri will continue their Serie A campaign with a match against Salernitana on January 4.
