Sassuolo put on a show at San Siro!

Milan started the game with dominance and pushed to get the opener early on. Alessio Romagnoli broke the deadlock in the 21st minute.

However, Sassuolo stunned the hosts in the next twelve minutes. Gianluca Scamacca scored the equilizer for the Neroverdi, before an own goal from Simon Kjaer made it 2-1 for Sassuolo.

Milan hoped to turn things around in the second half, but they were soon punished by the guests’ surprising firepower. Italy international Domenico Berardi scored the third goal for Sassuolo as Milan lost hope for a comeback.

Milan’s only goalscorer of the night, Romagnoli, received a red card after a foul to stop Sassuolo from scoring the fourth goal.
Milan remain in second place on the Serie A table, despite suffering back-to-back defeats. On the other hand, Sassuolo move up to the 13th spot after the shock victory.
