The Denmark legend Michael Laudrup suggested that Inter Milan midfielder should look for possible alternatives.

It has been a while since we saw the magic that Christian Eriksen provides on the field. And according to Michael Laudrup, the Denmark international is struggling mentally at Inter Milan and should look for a new path. Eriksen evidently signed the deal with Nerrazurri until 2024 following his move from Tottenham in the January transfer window. Football fans admired the work that the 28-year-old put in the Premier League during his spell in north London. Though, now, it seems like he has lost the spark in the highly competitive Serie A.

With only three goals and four assists for Inter in 33 outings, Eriksen is yet to achieve a regular spot under Antonio Conte. Moreover, the Danish star is already expected to move to another club in the coming winter transfer window. And according to some reports, Paris Saint-Germain wants to snap the Inter midfielder to Parc des Princes.

He has still a lot to offer.

Fellow countryman Laudrup, however, thinks that Erisksen has all the things required to be successful at Inter. But there might be some off-the-field problems that might hamper Erisksen’s performance during the games. Also, Laudrup suggested that he will not be surprised if the playmaker looks for other options outside Inter.

The Denmark legend told TV3 of Eriksen’s current plight: “I don’t believe he is not suitable for Italian football.

“He’s obviously a great player. He has two midfielders behind him and a giant like Romelu Lukaku who moves a lot and Lautaro Martinez, who is technically strong, ahead of him.

“There can be so many other things behind it. Mentally and culturally and things like that. But I can’t believe he can’t adapt tactically.

“I see that the local press, especially La Gazzetta Dello Sport which is based in Milan, they have journalists who are already writing that his experience is coming to an end. They’ll get this information from somewhere, maybe also from the club.

“I think Eriksen might want to look around for something new. But it’s not easy either. It is not easy to find a club that wants to pay a lot of money for him, considering how little he played.”
