After the news of Martin Odegaard’s COVID-19 test came out, it was later confirmed that the player tested a false positive on his first exam.

The COVID-19 pandemic was about to make a major mess within Real Madrid after Martin Odegaard apparently tested positive. The club was puzzled by the latest result in a test that was conducted last weekend because the player had been taking measures.

Real Madrid’s medical staff followed protocol and made a second test that gave a different result on Wednesday morning. As it turns out, Odegaard’s first test came out negative and this means we have a false positive on our hands. This is a very common error in some test kits that have spread panic amongst citizens from different countries.

As stress started taking over the Real Madrid fan base. The club couldn’t take any chances and they decided to conduct tests on every single club player and staff member who had contact with Odegaard. They even sent Real Sociedad a request to conduct tests on all their players in order to make sure nothing major was going to happen.

Real Madrid confirms all players came out negative.

At the early hours on Wednesday, Real Madrid issued a statement in which they confirmed the good news. We have a false alarm on Odegaard, for the moment. The players’ tests came out negative alongside Martin’s. This can only lead to one conclusion: Odegaard’s first test was flawed but they will conduct a third one just to make sure.

La Liga was already bracing for an intervention that could jeopardize the entire competition. Fortunately, it was all a false alarm that made a lot of people go into overdrive. All players were instructed to return to their usual training duties except Martin.

The Norway international will remain isolated until the third test comes out negative and it confirms the false alarm 100%. It appears fortune has smiled upon Los Blancos and they will get to continue their season.
