The England international limped off the pitch in United’s home win over Everton.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted Marcus Rashford’s injury against Everton seems serious.

Man Utd defeated Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday. Scott McTominay put the Red Devils ahead in the first half before Anthony Martial sealed United’s victory in the 71st minute.

Rashford, who provided an assist for Martial’s goal, picked up a knock to his leg in the final minutes of the game. The England international limped off as Ten Hag replaced him with Wout Weghorst.

Speaking after the game, the Dutch manager told BT Sport: “We have to wait, doesn’t look well. Once again that is due to the schedule. It can’t be you play three games in six days. We have to protect our players.”

Rashford will undergo tests tomorrow to determine the extent of his injury. United will most likely offer an official update on his situation on Monday.

Rashford’s possible absence will be a massive blow to Man Utd’s squad ahead of their crucial run of fixtures in the coming days.

The Red Devils will face Sevilla in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday. They will then meet Nottingham Forest before taking on Sevilla again next week.
